Mill Hill at War Website

On 8th November, our new web site Mill Hill at War 1914-19 was launched by Professor Gary Sheffield of the Centre for First World War Studies at the University of Birmingham. It is a fully searchable database of the service records of all Old Millhillians who served in the Great War and contains film footage, photographs, letters and other artefacts.

Construction of the database involved a team including Sam Bellringer from the Friends Office and Tracy Williams. It includes the results of research conducted over the past 20 years by Peter McDonough, particularly into Old Millhillians who served in the flying services. The project was made possible by donations received to the Annual Fund, administered by the Friends of the MH Foundation. We are all very grateful to all those whose hard work and generosity have made this venture possible.
