Mill Hill Golf Captain to Represent Britain

James Ellis capped a great calendar year with selection for The 2009 Swifts Golf Tour to the United Sates of America. He will join up with 7 team mates to represent a British Public Schools Team playing matches against schools and clubs along the Eastern Sea board over 20 days.This prestigious tour has been running for 20 years and James’ selection is recognition of the success he has had whilst playing and representing Mill Hill School and The Golf Academy.

The news was announced with great pride at the Centenary Dinner of The Old Millhillians Golf Society in The Long Room at Lords where James received their full support. James is now looking forward to representing Mill Hill on what will be an unforgettable tour!

Golf Masterclass 2 Day Event

In the first of a new series of Friends of Mill Hill School “First Class” events, we are delighted to invite keen golfers amongst our parents and Old Millhillians to join us for a two-day golfing break and masterclass at the exclusive Donnington Grove Golf and Country Club from Sunday 22nd- Monday 23rd March 2009.

The event will start on Sunday with brunch at 11.30 followed by 18 holes of golf on the club’s championship course. A private dinner at the Country Club will be the focus of Sunday evening. On Monday the day starts with a two-hour golf clinic with Mill Hill School’s Director of Golf, Dean Halford and DGG & CC Professional, Gareth Williams, followed by the opportunity to put all you have learned into practice with an 18 hole Golf Competition.

The cost for the two-day event is £279 per golfer, including accommodation in Donnington Grove’s elegant 18th century hotel. Only 12 places are available so please book early to avoid disappointment.
