The boy’s race with 70 competitors was extremely tough with many of the front runners moving away from the chasing group within the first few hundred meters. Pierce M did very well to keep up a steady pace finishing 14th, Ricky R produced a brilliant sprint finish holding off the opposition for 21st place, Jonathon E finished 23rd, William R was 43rd and Oliver I was 46th.

We are now waiting to hear how many of our pupils gained a place on the Barnet Team (selected from the first 15 finishers in each race) for the Middlesex Cross Country Championships to be held at Harrow School in February.

The pupils really enjoyed competing and supporting each other at such a well organised and competitive meeting and we now hope to have this as an annual event in the Belmont calendar.
