Golfing Success

Chris Alexander with his trophy for coming 2nd individually in the handicap comp at the Shire Trophy.

The Mill Hill golfers ended the year on a high finishing 2nd at The Shire Trophy. This was a great result as they beat the likes of Millfield, Loretto, Canford, Bedford and many of the other top schools in the UK. The team was James Ellis (Weymouth), Chris Alexander (Atkinson) and Josh Leader (Weymouth). This is the Golf team’s best achievement to date in a national competition. Chris was also runner up in the Nett competition on the day. Not to be outdone, Mill Hill ‘B’ Charlie Lahyani, Elliot Gold and Eddie Amery (all from Cedars) won the ISGA Plate Trophy beating Forest in the final. Adam Rossington also from Cedars played in the rounds up to the final. This completed the ‘double’ after Mill Hill ‘A’ won the overall competition.
