Upper 6th Leavers

White Dove

Today saw the last day at School for our Sixth Form as they leave for study leave and their final exams. Following a reception for Sixth Form pupils and their parents and a service in Chapel, guests gathered on Top Terrace for a final few words and a release of white doves. Senior Monitor, Rosie Welch, said to the gathered crowd “These doves symbolise the peace and harmony we wish for all leavers gathered here today. These doves are special, from here they will fly home. Perhaps this is appropriate as this place, and indeed for many of us Belmont and Grimsdell, are part of who we are. A kind of second home that we will want to return to in the years to come.”
