Exciting and varied times here at Belmont this week. After the pressure of recent exams the children enjoyed collecting shoe boxes to send off to the British Armed Forces abroad and also enjoyed baking cakes for their ‘Children in Need’ cake sale. Coupled with this the Eco Committee have had a drive on reducing food waste with the motto ‘take what you need, eat what you take’. Food waste was weighed and the results will be available next week together with the amount raised at the cake sale. Eco-Committee members have also been planting trees this week around the school and there have been a variety of events on the theme of ‘Anti-bullying’ as part of ‘National Anti-Bullying Week’.
