Belmont Film Club pupils were ecstatic when their film ‘My Lovely Courgette’ took the top spot in The People’s Vote after a viewing at the East Finchley’s Phoenix Cinema. After all the hard work of the last few months the children were delighted to see their completed film which was part of The Cineclub Project, a young persons’ film making network celebrating young people scripting, shooting and editing their own films. The vote was close, which meant an evening of high tension, but Belmont triumphed by 5 votes! The film now goes on to be judged by a panel of experts, and the pupils are very much looking forward to this later in the summer.
