Grandparents’ day was a huge success this week with 250 grandparents enjoying the day at Belmont with their grandchildren. As in the past, it was a lovely sunny day so everyone was able to take full advantage of the grounds. Children showed their grandparents where they spend their day to day school lives – tours included the vast sports areas, the Eco Garden and the Nature Reserve. The children were proud to be able to tell their families that the school won 3rd prize in the ‘Barnet in Bloom’ competition for the Belmont Eco-Garden. After only three weeks of rehearsals the lunchtime concert was hugely successful with 24 different performances being enjoyed by all. A splendid lunch was much appreciated and the families were able to have a professional group photograph.
