Summer Fun Day

This year’s Summer Fun Day was opened by the Mill Hill CCF Corps of Drums with a truly wonderful display of their talents. The ‘Summer Fun’ then commenced in earnest! As well as the usual ‘Beat the Goalie’, Tombola and Wet Sponge Throw, this year there was also a Bungee Run, where anyone taking part was attached to an elasticised rope and had to try to reach the end of the run before the rope pulled them back. In addition there was Surfboarding, where you had to stay on a tilting board for as long as possible and a bubble booth for having fun photos taken. Mill Hill Fire Station Blue Watch came along and allowed the children to clamber all over their engine. The three hours flew by and all proceeds went to the Northway House Charity.
