Grandparents’ Day

This year’s grandparents’ day saw record numbers of grandparents enjoying the sunshine and seeing the grounds at their best. The children eagerly took their grandparents on a tour, many had their photo taken and a fond farewell was said in the quad as lunch and the concert beckoned. This year’s lunch was a choice of Chicken Escalope and Spinach Lasagne followed by fresh fruit salad and apple and berry crumble. The concert was a good display of the wide variety of music taught at Belmont from the Junior Choir’s rendition of the toe tapping ‘Rhythm of Life’ to the soothing ‘Moonlight Sonata’ performed by Rina Morooka. This annual event is a good opportunity for grandparents to get together and see the work that their grandchildren are involved with. Many are Old Belmontians and so many old friendships are re-kindled alongisde the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane.
