Sponsored Walk

During the week commencing Monday 4th March Grimsdell children started a number of sponsored walks in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and Leukemia Research. An outstanding sum of £14,000 was raised by 150 children and staff. Each child was given a GOSH balloon and walked a designated route around the grounds of Mill Hill School. Nursery children completed one lap and Years 1 and 2 did two laps. Each lap was about half a mile. The walk took place throughout the week with each year group walking on a different day to suit their timetable and the weather.

The reason for arranging the event was that a Grimsdell child had been diagnosed with Leukemia and was receiving excellent treatment at GOSH. Everyone thought it would show the school’s support by hosting such an event.
