Year 5 have kicked off the festive spirit here at Belmont in spectacular fashion by treating us to three superb class plays. 5MS presented a beautiful production ‘Diwali – Festival of Light’ encapsulating perfectly the rich culture and heritage of such an important Festival and included some incredible song and dance routines. 5RS followed with a dramatic presentation of ‘The Gunpowder Plot’ featuring lively, bright dialogue which re-energised this fascinating piece of history and finally 5RB had the audience in stitches with ‘Mr Men Christmas’ which, amidst the laughs, had an important Christmas message to deliver. All plays were brilliantly acted, with every child turning in a star performance. Congratulations Year 5 – we look forward to the next time we see you treading the boards!
