Remembrance Day 2015

This year’s Remembrance Day commemorations were particularly poignant as it was the last one our Headmaster, Dr Luckett, would participate in here at Mill Hill.

Dr Luckett was joined by the Chairman of the Governors, the President of the Old Millhillians’ Club and representatives from our CCF in laying poppy wreaths at the Gate of Honour. Following a moving reading and a minute’s silence, pupils, staff and Old Millhillians proceeded through the Gate in pairs in the time-honoured tradition, observed by members of the local community who stood silently to pay their respects on this significant occasion.

Commemorations continued in our Chapel where our Chaplain, Reverend Dr Warden, delivered a moving and thought-provoking service to Sixth Form pupils and other guests. The service was tastefully accompanied by Mr Kyle and the School Choir who enhanced the already emotional sense of occasion.

All other pupils attended separate services led by members of staff; services that were delivered in an equally emotive and stirring manner.
