‘Oh What a Lovely War!’

We are delighted to invite you to this year’s School Production of ‘Oh What a Lovely War!’ to be performed in The Large on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th February 2017 at 7.00pm.

This production summarises and comments upon the events of the First World War, using many popular songs of the time. The events of the ‘War to End All Wars’ unfold in an unusual, controversial style in which the troops appear as clowns led by unscrupulous and ignorant generals and politicians who are safely protected from the ghastly trench warfare being fought by ordinary soldiers.

Proceeds from the ticket sales of this production will, as usual, go to Agape Theatre Company, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We have supported this group, which performs in villages and towns all over Ethiopia, for ten years and our donations over the years have made a huge difference to them.

Tickets for this show are £10 each.

Online bookings are no longer being taken but tickets can be purchased on the door tonight.

We do hope that you will be able to support this production and we look forward to seeing you on one of the performance nights.
