Uniform 1940

A group of pupils photographed outside the Tuck Shop in St Bee’s during the School’s evacuation. Quite a mix of uniform can be seen – note the open-neck shirts and bicycle clips.

The School uniform has been significantly rationalised in recent years although identifying the many different House and Honours ties can still prove to be something of a challenge.
