Mill Hill Golfers Triumph

After a nail-biting semi final, the Mill Hill team ended up in a creditable 3rd place in the HMC Championships. The match came down to the very last hole against Millfield who became the eventual Champions beating Loretto School in the final.

Reaching the semi final stage of the tournament meant that the team went on to a play-off with six other schools for a separate National competition. After an outstanding performance, the boys ended up winning, making them the HMC National Stableford Foursomes Champions.

Captain Mit Maeda and Adam Rossington also won The HMC National Foursomes Pairs Championship. They were unbeaten all the way through the competition until the Millfield game, and fully deserved to win for all their efforts.

It was a tremendous achievement for the boys who were on a real high as they journeyed back from Cheltenham. What was particularly satisfying was that many of the other masters commented on the boys’ etiquette both on and off the golf course.

This is an outstanding achievement for the team especially as this is the first year for Mill Hill School Golf Academy. And in a great week for golf at Mill Hill, we also held our inaugural Festival of Golf, a competition designed purely for prep and primary school golfers, which was attended by over 50 competitiors.
