Squash

Squash at Mill Hill

The loss of the squash courts in 1998 (converted into the Piper Library) led to a decline in this sport. However, over the past three years we have seen something of a renaissance.

Squash is now run by an enthusiastic member of staff who is a qualified coach. There are regular sessions at local squash clubs and the School team now competes successfully in local and national tournaments. As well as providing an opportunity for our better players, squash is also available as a recreational sport, both as a part of the 5th and 6th Form Games lessons and as a part of the Activities programme for lower school pupils.

As part of the Sport 2007 initiative, there are plans to improve provision for squash and thus increase access and opportunity for all.
