The Former Chair of the Court of Governors returned to Mill Hill to open the swimming pool named in her honour. Both the indoor and outdoor pools at Mill Hill were decommissioned as part of the School Development Plan, and the Favell Building was built on the site of the old indoor pool. The 25 metre Dame Angela Rumbold Pool took the place of the picturesque but outdated Buckland Pool, and this excellent training facility has allowed our swimmers to compete more fully in swimming galas where have enjoyed a great deal of success. This success is in no small part due to a number of very gifted young swimmers led by Great Britain international Charlotte Creager. As well as our pupils, the pool is also heavily used by local community groups and swimming teams.
