Reception have had a fabulous start to the year, we have now completed our first full week and the children are settling in well. We have been exploring the school and meeting all our teachers. The children are getting to know each other, learning each other’s names and making friends.
This week we have been thinking about and writing the number 1, the children enjoyed the challenge of finding 1 of different named objects and finding the numeral around the classroom. We have enjoyed singing number songs and familiar nursery rhymes and have been listening to different environmental sounds.
