Was it The Zagaro that came through the reception classrooms? What a fantastic visit we had from Zoolab on Friday! We listened to the story of The Zagaro and met some of the animals along the way. We met a frog, a hissing cockroach, a millipede, a snail, and a snake and went on an adventure through the story. We thought about what The Zagaro would look like! Can you remember any parts of the story?
This week we have revisited the sounds ai, ee, igh, oa. We have enjoyed reading them in words, including them in sentences and writing captions for different pictures. We particularly enjoyed rolling a digraph dice and testing our knowledge of the sounds we have learnt.
In maths we have enjoyed learning at the classroom shop, making tags for different items and selling them to our friends. We have looked at how to make different values with coins and matching the different values.
A big well done to RHD for their class assembly this week! Miss Deamer and Ms Oechler are incredibly proud of you! We have continued to learn about Valentine’s Day through the week, making cards, baking biscuits, writing sentences about who we love and being creative making our own pictures.
