This week, Year 1 have continued to learn lots of interesting facts about woodland animals including owls. We learned that there are many different kinds of owls and that they vary considerably in size. We then drew and measured our own owls using non-standard and standard units of measurement and recorded their heights.
We also read the story Tidy about a badger called Pete who got carried away trying to keep his habitat tidy, but in doing so, was left with nowhere to live or hunt. The children then sequenced the events of the story and wrote a recount in their own words.
