This week we have moved more into the topic of London and the children have spent this week thinking about the crown that we found on the bus and deciding who it might belong too. The children wrote letters and drew pictures for the Queen and created crowns using gold paper and jewels.
We have also been reading many stories about London and learning all about some of the famous landmarks. Each day we placed a different landmark in our curiosity cube and the children asked questions and searched for more information about the building.
The children all became artists this week as well. We talked about how the Queen has artists painting her picture and the children then painted a self-portrait. We talked about using the correct colours for our face, eyes, mouth and nose. They all did such a wonderful job.
