New Sports Hall and Welcoming our new CEO

It is wonderful news that the new Sports Hall is now being used by the children. The first group to use it on Wednesday was Year 6 and there were some very excited pupils who gave really positive feedback about their new building.

There is still some minor work for the contractors to complete, so more time will be spent on the building this weekend and the landscaped area will be completed in the Spring. However, I really hope that when you see it, you will be impressed with its appearance, both external and internal. It really is going to make such a difference to the children’s sporting development. I am so grateful for all the support that has been given over the last two years, both financial and in terms of time, to make this project possible. Thank you to everyone.

New CEO – Antony Spencer

I am delighted that our new CEO, Antony Spencer, has taken up his post since the start of January. Antony will be responsible for strategic oversight of the Mill Hill School Foundation which will allow the Heads to focus on running their own schools.  Antony is keen to look at campus development across the Foundation and one key area will be to ensure that the provision of sport is as good as it can be across all the schools. I am looking forward to working with Antony, not only due to any exciting future plans to take the Foundation from strength to strength, but also because he is a fellow Midlander! You can read more about our new CEO in the Mill Hill magazine which will be coming home with the children next week.

Vex Robotics

It is a pleasure to report that our girls’ robotics team won an award for their effort, enthusiasm and perseverance today at Henrietta Barnett School in a Vex Robotics competition. The judges were very impressed with Lucia, Sarachi and Elle, particularly as it was the first competition the girls have competed in. Well done, girls, and thank you to Mr Perrin for organising the event.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and that you enjoy the sunshine that is forecast.

With best wishes,

Leon Roberts
