Nativity

For the first time ever, Grimsdell put on whole school staged production, with 175 children on stage!  Every single child was utterly engaged in their role, however big or small, and they owned the stage. The singing raised the roof, the acting was mature and sophisticated with incredible projection and the choreography was worthy of some shows I have seen in the West End! However, the aspect that made me most proud is something that is incredibly hard to achieve when a production is ambitious and the standards are so high – and that is true enjoyment and a love of performing. I am so grateful to our wonderful Head of Music for her vision and warmth, whereby she is able to combine the two to create an exceptional performance building on her connection and rapport with the children. Performing is not just about being on stage and being in the limelight. It is about expressing yourself, building confidence and working as a team.

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – and to thank you for taking the time to read this blog. If you look at our Twitter page on Christmas Day itself you will find a surprise message from me and special visitor to our school this week. I wonder who it could be!
