Our annual Friends of Belmont ‘Winter Wonderland’ event took place on Saturday 6th December and was enjoyed by many parents, children and members of school staff. On a beautiful and sunny winter’s day, the children were able to enjoy a wide range of activities, these included visiting Father Christmas in his grotto, a karaoke competition, a fantastic snowball ride, knock down the snowman’s head, balloon pop and pottery painting. There was also a magnificent Grand Raffle and the popular Silent Auction. Throughout the event, delicious hot food, tea, cakes, festive mulled wine and soft drinks were on sale, for everyone to enjoy. The Friends of Belmont Committee would like to say ‘thank you’ to all parents, children and the staff at Belmont, for their generous donations, for supporting the event and for contributing to the wonderfully convivial and friendly atmosphere on the day.
This year the FOB has decided to support Oak Lodge School, a local school which supports children with learning difficulties, between the ages of 11 and 19. We plan to make a donation to Oak Lodge School out of the funds raised at FOB events held during the year, at the end of the school year.
