The term began with the first of our Centenary events, the opening of the Centennial Garden with its stunning obelisk centrepiece. It was raining hard on that day back in April but fortunately it stopped just in time for our Centenary Sports Day. This was a celebration of the Olympic Games and the children had a wonderful time with plenty of competition in field and track events, competing in Continents rather than Houses. As the sun shone down, the day commenced with a stunning opening ceremony and ended with awards being presented on an ‘Olympic style’ podium. The Olympic values of friendship, respect and excellence were evident to all involved.
