Remembrance Day 2013

On Monday 11th November, the School community came together for the traditional Remembrance Day commemorations. Poor weather conditions meant that the School did not process through the Gate of Honour, as has been the tradition for over 90 years. Nevertheless, there was a moving service in the Chapel led by Reverend Dr Warden, who referred to Alex Todd, the Old Millhillian rugby international, whose story had been told by author Stephen Cooper as part of the Lecture Series (8th November).

History Teachers Peter McDonough and Mark Dickinson used School archive and other material collected over many years of taking School groups to the Western Front, to engage Lower School pupils with some of the questions surrounding Remembrance, War and the Celebration of Peace.
