Forest Schools

The woods around Belmont have been a hive of activity every Wednesday and Thursday evening over the past five weeks, as it played host to one of Belmont’s newest clubs, Forest Schools. The aim of the programme is to allow children to interact with and learn from the environment around them. From constructing hedgehog hotels to creating conker creatures, all children thoroughly enjoyed their time outside of the classroom, engaging in all activities with great gusto, come rain or shine. The final week proved to be one of the most enjoyable weeks, with everyone gathering around their camp fire to roast marshmallows and toast chocolate brioche. It is certainly true to say that both went down a treat!
