Boarding

There are 4 boarding houses at Mill Hill. 3 are co-educational and 1 is for girls only. Boarders have the option of going home or to friends or guardians at weekends (from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening or Monday morning), or staying at school for the whole term, going home or to guardians for the half-term breaks.

Mill Hill’s boarding houses are well known for their high levels of pastoral care. They run as extended family lives and every care is taken to make sure that pupils feel safe, secure and well cared for. Lower School pupils (Years 9 to 11) are usually housed in rooms of 3 and 4 pupils whilst sixth form pupils are housed in single or double rooms.

The School has a great deal of experience in working with international students.

In 2007 there were boarders from 27 countries and they constituted around 40% of the boarding community.

165 of Mill Hill’s pupils are boarders.
