Admissions

The Admissions Office deals with all applications to Mill Hill School. There are two main points of entry into the School – the 13+ (4th Form) entry, and the 16+ (6th Form entry). Pupils may apply for either boarding or day places. There are around 140 places available in the 4th Form and typically between 35 and 50 pupils join Mill Hill in the Lower 6th. Occasionally there are places available in the 14+ (Remove) year – if you are interested in this point of entry please contact the Admissions Office direct. The main examination for 4th Form entry takes place in January of the year of entry and all candidates are interviewed and sit exams in English, Maths, Science, French and Latin unless they are Scholarship candidates. A wide variety of Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries are available and the Admissions staff will be happy to advise on applications. 6th Form students are required to have a minimum of 2 A and 3 B grades at GCSEs. As with 13+, all candidates are interviewed. At both points of entry, school references will be required, and these form an important part of the decision process before making offers.

Before deciding to register your son or daughter, we strongly advise that you visit the School – either on one of our Open Mornings or by special arrangement.
