The Friends of Mill Hill School Foundation was created to promote the Bicentenary in 2007 to the widest possible audience and to establish long-term, sustainable fundraising. The Bicentennial Appeal had twin objectives – People and Places – and sought to capitalise on the profile and interest which this significant point in the School's history would bring. It was the launch phase, the catalyst for the long-term effort.
With the Bicentenary fading, the fundraising enters its next phase as the Foundation Appeal. The Foundation Appeal has been established with the continued aim of “Supporting educational excellence at Mill Hill, Belmont and Grimsdell”. The Foundation Appeal Office, under the direction of Nick Priestnall, will focus entirely on fundraising and is advised and supported by the Appeal Board under the chairmanship of Peter Wakeham (Burton Bank, 1964).
We are very optimistic about the future of the Foundation as it enters its third century. However no-one can be complacent. We hope that you will support the Appeal in whatever way you can and we look forward to seeing you at events later this year and beyond.
