Daniel Bingham, Atkinson’s Housemaster
Mr Daniel Bingham has taught English at Mill Hill for many years. Amongst his particular areas of interest and expertise are modern American Literature and Chaucer. He has previously been Head of Careers and Higher Education. He also spent four years as resident tutor in Collinson House. He was a former pupil of Stamford School in Lincolnshire and graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London; he achieved a PGCE at the Institute of Education. Before teaching he worked in the music industry and at BBC Radio in Cambridge.
He also coaches cricket at Mill Hill, having played to a high standard at university. Outside school he has been known to follow the fortunes of fallen giants Nottingham Forest. He is known also for his knowledge of popular, and unpopular music, from the 1960s to the present day and his penchant for fine tailoring.
