Excellent Start for This Season’s Cricket

Cricket has been flourishing here at the School so far this year. The Senior Squad has been to La Manga at Easter in a pre-season tournament with four other Schools and Spain. I believe that this is the first time that the School has beaten an international side!

The 1st XI, captained by Arjun Chopra in the absence of the injured Fred Daeche Marshall, has won the last five matches in a row including John Lyon, UCS, Latymer Upper, Harrow College and Incogniti. Adam Rossington has scored very heavily and has been the first pupil to score a hundred this year. The 2nd XI, captained by Michael Murad has also won their last three games.

The U14A’s are also performing really well and are the only side to be unbeaten. We have been lucky with the weather so far and we look forward to more exciting cricket here at the School with the U14 and 1st XI still in the Middlesex Cup competitions.

PS: Steven Selwood (Old Millhillian) scored 143 for Middlesex Second Eleven last week. Congratulations to him.
