Autumn Highlights

This busy academic term incorporates many highlights to enhance the children’s educational experience at Belmont. Right from the start there will be a Y6 Independent Study Skills Workshop and the Belmont Putter Golf Competition will be held at Arkley Golf Course. Selected pupils from years 4-7 will go to see ‘Shrek’, year 7 have an Overnight Leadership Camp and the U11s go on a two day Rugby Tour to Brighton – and that is just week one! The launch of Belmont’s Centenary Year takes place with a ‘1912 Day’ when children will be given a taste of what life must have been like for the first Belmont pupils 100 years ago. As the half term continues there will be the annual Grandparents’ Day, Jeans for Genes Day, Buddy lunches and the IAPS Open Age Golf Championship. For parents there will be various parents’ evenings, a Macmillan Coffee Morning, a FOB Social evening, an informal concert and a talk about the forthcoming Portugal Rugby Tour. Club activities commence on Monday 17th September.
