Walking through the Belmont gates on Thursday 5th March we were besieged by Robin Hoods, Medusas, Greek goddesses and any other number of mythical characters. It was world book day of course, and this year the theme was Myths, Legends and Fables. Our Lower School children were invited to dress up as their favourite characters from folklore and perform in a special parade at break time where our parents stood and cheered from the side-lines. The costumes were exceptional, with countless comments from all quarters commending the effort and imagination which had gone into creating the outfits. Naturally, our teachers couldn’t resist the challenge either and many of our pupils spent the day being taught by the likes of Cleopatra and Maid Marian!
