Last week saw Reading week at Belmont and what a spectacular affair it was! The pupils were treated to an array of author workshops with G.P. Taylor and Alex Keller dropping in, poet Dzifa Benson delivered poetry workshops, storyteller Vanessa Woolf treated our younger years with an afternoon of exhilarating tales and our school library hosted a week long book fair. Alongside all these special visits all years competed in an inter-house reading challenge and poetry recital competitions. Belmont places reading at the heart of our school and therefore it came as no surprise to see our pupils embrace reading week and the opportunities it provided with open arms. Thank you so much to our fantastic English department led by Miss Olsson and to Mrs Mason in the library for delivering such a wonderful week!
