Waste Week

Last week Belmont took part in Eco School’s Waste Week. Our Eco monitors were asked to work with their class to become involved in a particular aspect of Waste Week which best interested them. There were some interesting activities which took place inspired by the pupils. For example, 5MS made bottle gardens and 7SF made parachutes from plastic carrier bags.

We were delighted to see so many pupils rise up to the ‘Waste Week Challenge’ to make something creative from items and materials that would normally be thrown away.

With so many thoughtful and interesting entries we hope our pupils feels encouraged to continue their green initiatives throughout the year.
