Cricket Goes From Strength To Strength

With England hosting the Ashes Series this summer, cricket is a current hot topic and our own pupils are certainly not letting the side down.

Sophia Dunkley is not only representing Middlesex women, she has been touted as an ‘England Cert’ in The Cricket Paper. The Middlesex women’s captain Izzy Westbury stated “Sophia is a very, very exciting prospect – she’s only 16 which is crazy. If she doesn’t get an England cap within the next few years then I will eat my hat!”.

Sophia is currently competing alongside fellow Millhillian, India Whitty, in the Middlesex women’s team but it’s not just the girls who are doing well. Fifth Form pupil Ethan Bamber enjoyed a great debut for Middlesex 2nd XI recently scoring the winning runs with a 39-run last-wicket partnership.
