Year 6 have spent this week learning financial skills in their maths lessons. The focus has been learning to apply maths to real life situations and in the process broadening the scope of our young mathematicians. Our pupils have been using their data handling skills to graph average incomes for different professions, calculating tax and national insurance contributions for different incomes and learning budgeting skills and the importance of staying out of debt.
