The 1st XV squad, parents and rugby staff enjoyed a lovely evening at the annual shirt presentation evening . The event was hosted by Assistant Director of Sport/Director of Rugby Mr Liffchak, who was well supported by returning British and Irish Lions second row George Kruis along with Saracens legend Will Frazer. The MHS players received ‘their shirts’ from George and Will, who both spoke brilliantly to the squad about what rugby meant to them. The evening was primarily a chance first the 1st XV to receive our congratulations for all their hard work over the past weeks and years and a chance for them to understand the responsibility that goes with representing the school at this level. The boys certainly seemed to enjoy mixing with the rugby stars during the evening and hearing a few stories about their time as professional rugby players. The squad then departed for a captain’s dinner and an early night! Hopefully it will be act as a perfect springboard for what should be an excellent season.
