Burton Bank took to the kitchen last weekend for Baking Club with Miss Mattinson. News had obviously spread quickly across the Houses because we had special guests from Ridgeway and New House come to join us in the first bake of the year which was to be Chocolate Brownies! With a plentiful supply of bakers and hungry onlookers, there was a frenzy of measuring, mixing and, most importantly, licking the bowl before a rather delicious-smelling bake was to appear from the oven; so eagerly anticipated, that it was swiftly devoured without much time to cool! Special thanks must go to Israel who did a fantastic job at not only baking but – the bit no one likes – the washing up! Overall, a Sunday afternoon activity at the buzzing BB house thoroughly enjoyed by all.
