World Maths Day

The Maths department organised some fantastic activities for the children today as part of World Maths Day. Activities included;

• Fun Problem solving Maths quiz in morning tutor time
• A Maths trail around school (the children picked up a leaflet from the library and were guided through the school answering maths questions about their surroundings)
• Logic puzzles and a murder mystery in the library
• A Maths treasure hunt (mathematical orienteering race differentiated for all year groups) in the Quad.

It was wonderful to see children from all years taking part and especially getting involved in the outdoor maths activities. Lots of commends and prizes were earn’t and over 50 certificates were presented.
