On Tuesday, Year 2 took part in a powerful Anti-Bullying workshop conducted by Perform for Schools. Each class spent time with leader Hannah learning how to approach, communicate and stand up to bullies. This was performed through a series of dramatic exercises, teaching the children:

  • The importance of having confident body language
  • How to have a strong, clear and assertive voice
  • Standing up to bullies using role-play
  • Expressing emotions and having power
  • Fighting peer pressure and learning how to do the right thing

The workshop concluded with strategies of what children should do if they are being bullied and advice of how to communicate this.

The children learnt lots of useful strategies and had lots of fun!!
