On Sunday, the School’s top Eton Fives pair of Charlie Plummer and Iain Kidd travelled to Eton College to play in the U21 National Championships.
This was a challenging tournament consisting of top school players, recent leavers, and top university players. Charlie and Iain played fantastically, winning their group, having beaten a strong Oxford pair and then winning an extremely close group decider against Cambridge University. They then continued their strong run to go on to reach the semi-finals stage before losing in an extremely high quality match that could have gone either way.
The pair excelled themselves to reach this stage; the best a Mill Hill school pair has ever achieved in this competition. We wish them luck in the Schools’ National Championships in March.
