We ventured North this week, as our focus shifted to all things Arctic.
Our learning has been all about this week’s book, ‘Immi’ by Karin Littlewood. We collected adjectives about Immi and used these to write a character description about her. We made a Polar Bear talisman necklace and designed and painted treasures to decorate her igloo. We’ve been studying the Arctic Circle and the countries that form part of the Arctic. Every day we’ve been writing diary entries about Immi’s life in the Arctic and focusing on writing in the first person.
