Weekly Boarders making the most of Mill Hill

In addition to our International boarders comprising over 30 nationalities, our boarding houses are also home to a good number of weekly boarders whose families live in London. ‘Living in’ allows these pupils to involve themselves particularly enthusiastically in the co-curricular life of the School.

Nihal, for example, has developed his outstanding golf talents over the past two years, recently winning the Independent Schools Golf Association Plate Individual National Final. Nihal describes the atmosphere in boarding as, “really friendly – our Housemaster is very understanding. I find the environment is a very productive one in which to work. We regularly enjoy social outings together as a group, which means we also get to spend time together outside of school.”

For those involved in the wide-ranging musical activities, weekly boarding allows time that would otherwise be spent on commuting to be devoted to rehearsal and performance. Tal is one example of a musically talented weekly boarder who makes the most of the opportunities available at Mill Hill (pictured above performing in the recent Farrow singing competition finals).
