Nursery have been developing the ability to recognise and respond to fast and slow. Furthermore, they have been taking part in songs and drumming which support the development of internalising a beat.
Reception have been learning to read and play rhythms using the Kodaly method. All have risen to the challenge and successfully can read and perform rhythmic sequences using crotchets and quavers.
Year One have been composing music to represent the stimuli of an animal. We focused on Percussive instruments and using Tempo and Dynamics. All children have also demonstrated the ability to peer assess and give appropriate feedback.
Year Two have been creating unique compositions to symbolise weather, using changes in the Musical Elements: Tempo, Pitch and Dynamics.
