Success Outside School, well done to everyone!

Congratulations to this week’s Successes Outside of School, well done to everyone for everything they achieved over the Easter Holidays.

  • Natalie Orton and sister Perdita made up two thirds of Trent Park Equestrian Centre’s team for the annual Pony Club Blue Cross Horse and Pony Care competition. Held in Suffolk, Area 8 hosted 16 teams from 6 counties for a competition testing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in equine care over 10 rounds. The girls were thrilled with their second place, only 1.5% behind the winners. A great reward after a long hard winter, with team training often taking place in temperatures only just above zero!
  • Avnish Mahan won the Barnet Borough Scouts District Cubs Chess Trophy.
  • Max Robinson has been re-selected for the Middlesex U10 Boys County Summer Tennis Squad. He also played his first match for Middlesex last weekend away to Oxfordshire. Middlesex won the tournament and Max won all his singles matches.
  • Fin McLean won the minors section at the Jersey International Chess Tournament which was 9 long days of chess. He didn’t lose a single game – an outstanding result and to be noted, Fin started chess at Belmont in Yr 4 and has had school-only coaching by Angela.
  • Dhruv Jain and Veer Jain both won a gold and silver medal each at the Regional Tang Soo Do Championship.
  • Sophia Bratchell-Owens performed in NLPAC’s Easter show with her Grade 3 Tap class.
  • Lucy Roughton is through to the next round of the 500 Words competition.
