What a stunning start Reception have had. A Knight called Sir Teachalot came to visit us. He showed us the equipment a Knight wears before going into battle. The children were fascinated at how heavy the armour weighed. They enjoyed listening to exciting stories about how the Knights went on quests and how they had to fulfill various tasks – one of them rescued a damsel in distress.
This week the children also made their own shields using various materials and then dressed up like a Knight in shining armour.
