Year 5 Trip to the Tate Modern

Our Year 5s enjoyed a fantastic Art Trip to the Tate Modern this week! Led by Mr McNulty, the children enjoyed travelling into London and the fantastic views which you’d find on the Southbank. As every great trip should do, the children started their visit in the Gift Shop before undertaking a variety of activities around the Galleries. These activities ranged from looking at and interpreting art such as Monet’s work on Water Lillies as well as designing T-Shirts based on abstract artists too. We were incredibly lucky to have Mr McNulty’s expertise on both days of the trip which allowed the children to understand what Art means to them as well as appreciating that Art can come in a variety of forms. A fantastic day was had all round and we couldn’t be more thankful to Mr McNulty for his time in a very memorable learning experience!
